On Nov 19, 1993, Joseph Nicholas Gallo was born. He plays baseball professionally and is an American. He plays as a third baseman, left fielder, and the first baseman. He is a Major League Baseball player for the Texas Rangers. He is twenty-four years old right now.
He went to Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada’s Las Vegas. He played baseball at the school and, as a senior, was named the Nevada Baseball Player of the Year.
He signed a national letter of intent to attend Louisiana State University after high school, where he would play baseball for the LSU Tigers. Joseph began playing baseball at an early age, and he still does today.
In the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft, the Texas Rangers selected Joey Gallo. He made the decision not to attend Louisiana University after being selected in the league and he signed a two million, two hundred and fifty thousand dollars signing bonus with the Texas Rangers.
He started his career in 2013 with the Arizona League Rangers, where he hit 18 home runs and batted in 52 runs in 43 games.
He received the Arizona League MVP award that year. Later on, he began playing for the Spokane Indians of the Class A Short Season Northwest League.
Joey Gallo also participated in games with the Class A South Atlantic League’s Hickory Crawdads. He made minor league history by being the first teenager to hit 40 home runs in a season.
He received the Joe Bauman Home Run Award for his outstanding fielding abilities. He participated in 2014 with the Class A Advanced Carolina League team Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
Later, he was promoted to the Class AA Texas League’s Frisco Rough Riders. Additionally, he participated in the All-Star Future Games, where he won game MVP honors.
The Texas Rangers promoted him to the major leagues in 2015. He defeated the Kansas City Royals that year to win the MLB Golden Sombrero for the first time.
