Luke Rockhold is a Professional mixed martial artist of America. Rockhold now represents the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he competes in the Light Heavyweight class. On Oct 17, 1984, Luke was born in Santa Cruz, California, in the United States.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Rockhold previously competed in the Middleweight division.

In addition to being a skilled surfer, skateboarder, and professional model, Rockhold is the face of Ralph Lauren’s “Polo Blue” fragrance and has modeled at New York Fashion Week.

Rockhold, a two-time world champion, also took home the Strikeforce Middleweight Title. Before Strikeforce was formally absorbed by the UFC, Rockhold was the last person to hold the belt and made two title fights.

USA’s Maryland is where Luke Rockhold was born. He is a professional mixed martial artist from the United States. His mother is Diana Rockhold, and his father is Steve Rockhold.

Rockhold attempted to compete in wrestling for a nearby community college before deciding to concentrate purely on jiu-jitsu.

After succeeding in a few BJJ competitions, he made the decision to try mixed martial arts. Rockhold was given the opportunity to train at the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) in San Jose, California, in 2006 by a colleague.

Javier Mendez, the head coach of AKA, was immediately impressed by Rockhold’s natural talent and impressive kicking displays and hailed him as a potential future champion.

For the Melee on the Mountain promotion in July 2007, Rockhold faced Mike Martinez in his first-ever professional match. Rockhold dominated and won the fight in the first round via armbar submission.

In November 2007, Rockhold’s second match for the promotion ended in a loss against Tony Rubalcava.

On October 19, 2013, Rockhold was scheduled to face Tim Boetsch at UFC 166. However, Rockhold was forced to leave the fight due to a knee injury, and C.B. Dollaway took his place.

At UFC Fight Night 35 on January 15, 2014, Rockhold fought against Costas Philippou. After knocking Philippou to the ground with a body kick in the opening round, he won by TKO.

Rockhold received a $50,000 Knockout of the Night prize for his performance. At UFC 172, Rockhold eventually fought against Tim Boetsch on April 26, 2014. In the first round, he defeated the opponent to win the match.

On July 14, 2012, Rockhold and Tim Kennedy squared off in the main event of Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy, where Rockhold won his second title.

Rockhold weighed a half pounds too much for the fight on July 13. The additional weight was reduced by Rockhold in the permitted two hours.

For the second time, he successfully defended his championship, triumphing in the contest by unanimous decision (49–46, 49–46, and 49–46).
