The full name of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. he was born on 15th Oct 1931 in the small town of Tamilnadu, Rameshwaram. He was the 11th president of India.

he had done his schooling from Schwartz higher secondary school and then completed B.SC from st. joseph college. later he extended his qualification by completing aerospace engineering from madras institute of technology.

He joined DRDO in 1958 as a scientist and joined ISRO in 1963. his contribution to the development of world-class missile Agni, Prithvi, Akas, etc for India is remarkable.

He has been awarded honorary doctorates from at least 30 universities as well as the country’s three higher civilian awards.

He was a great personality and inspiration for the youth of the country who breathed his last on 27 July 2015 at IIM Shillong due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
